Thank you, Prof.
A turkey paid our family a visit on Thanksgiving day! First he made my brother’s acquaintance and then he chased me off the front yard.
I was arrested a few months ago. The whole thing was pretty ugly so I was not keen to share any of it for a while, but, it seems now I’ve fully recovered. The incident was a real teaching moment so I thought some might appreciate it. The reason for the arrest had to do with an alleged controlled substance on my person. Utterly ridiculous, I know. (The charges were later dropped). Losing many of my rights in an instant with the handcuffs, searches, and finally the cell, when a moment ago I was enjoying a fine day reminded me how everything changes, and that life is fragile. Thankfully I remembered the words of my teachers and, though humiliated, remained in the present. My cellmates had a harder time. One explained that his girl-friend did not want him around their daughter. The other confessed he was becoming depressed. I did what I could for them. A few words of encouragement. The officers had taken my portfolio to examine. They told me, through the bars, that they really enjoyed my photos. It cheered me more than you can imagine.
